We currently have a 15 strong research team. The faculty in this group comprise Professor Pam Briggs, Professor Lynne Coventry (Director), Dr. Linda Little, Dr Lynn McInnes and Dr. Elizabeth Sillence.

The work within this group has an applied focus, and the links with industry and user engagement are particularly strong. The faculty team are supported by 5 staff researchers, 5 research staff and 5 PhD researchers.


Dawn Branley

Dawn is a Research Associate working on the Horizon 2020 CYBECO project looking at supporting cyberinsurance from a behavioural choice perspective.


Professor Lynne Coventry

Lynne Coventry is the Director of PaCT Lab (Psychology and Communication Technology) at the University of Northumbria. Lynne is best known for her work on usable security, particularly biometrics.


Professor Pam Briggs

Pam Briggs is a Professor of Applied Psychology and Co-Director of the Psychology and Communications Technology (PACT) Lab.


Dr Linda Little

Linda is a Reader within the Department of Psychology. She teaches at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels on various modules including Social Psychology and Work and the Environment.
